Sun - April 21, 1918 fatigue this morning and wash clothes write to Berniece & read. Mon - April 22, 1918 Hike all morning and get back at 12:30, got a new Commanding officer. work on Leuit. Bessons car this afternoon. read & go to bed. Tue - April 23, 1918 work on the Leuit. car all day. the fellows are on an all day hike. got a letter from Berniece and mother and answered B_. Reading the book "The Upas Tree" (2) |
Wed - April 24, 1918 work on the Leuit car again all morning. he promised me a three day pass. go for a little ride in it after dinner wash clothes, wtite to mother, and Berniece. Thu - April 25, '18 start out on a hike to stay for 7 days, mosquitos by the hundreds, Pitch "pup" tents and have inspection by Col. Saville. all of the trains are out. The Y.M.C.A. went along and furnished amusements. I bet I freeze to death to night if the mosquitos give me a chance |
